The LSXS26366D has LoDecibel™ Quiet Operation so it should be as quiet as library noise. ^CP

This is the loudest refrigerator I’ve ever had! So loud that I’m thinking about having it serviced to see if something is wrong with it and it is only 2 months old!

Ours makes a small humming sound when cooling, but not loud, objectionable or a problem with nearby conversation. The ice making functions are much quieter than our previous Frigidaire. When the old fridge made ice at night, we could hear it in the bedroom. The LG ice drop is much shorter and fewer cubes per load, that may be why its sound is seldom noticed.
