QuestionI purchased this refrigerator 2 weeks ago and have run at least 4 gallons of water through the system and dumped 4 full loads of ice but the water and Ice taste bad. Its not my water supply . Water taste like plastic or something but undrinkable.

Questioni recently bought this refrigerator and got delivery and install for more than 36 hours now ....my question is why the icemaker is not working and there is no water in the icemaker tray ....is something wrong with the refrigerator ?

- Answer I had the same issue where there was no water in the ice tray. I found a video on LG’s website that showed a manual reset process for the ice maker. There is a small button under the ice maker, below the power switch. If you hold that button in for about 3 seconds it will start the motor that turns the tray upside down, like it will when it’s dropping ice cubes into the container. After it rotated the tray I finally heard the water turn on and it filled the tray and started making ice.

QuestionWill a gallon size milk jug fit on the door shelf and accessible from the insta view door?

- Answer I just did a quick test and was surprised to find that yes, a gallon-size milk jug does (comfortably) fit in the Insta-View door shelf (and therefore, accessible from the Insta-View door). However, I should specify that is true for only the bottom door shelf - the other two door shelves would not accommodate a gallon milk jug. The middle shelf could maybe do a half-gallon - in that case, I think available height would be the issue.

- Answer The door alarm for the LG InstaView™ Door-in-Door® 27.8 Cu. Ft. 4-Door French Door Refrigerator - Black stainless Steel, Model # LMXS28596D can only be disabled when you select the Sabbath mode. Selecting Sabbath mode automatically turns off the Alarm functions. The dispenser and InstaView™ function are disabled...^IFV
