QuestionDoes anyone else's fridge have this white powdery stuff that shows up underneath the ice dispenser? The powder usually forms on the dispenser tray and sometimes along the back and side walls of the dispenser area. If so, do you know what causes this?

- Answer I have the same problem with powdery substance on sides and bottom of dispenser. LG is supposed to be a superior product. Water and ice smell and taste bad. Didn't have problem with other brand frig nor did I have this problem for the first 6 months with LG frig. I have LG filters that I have changed twice, thinking there was something wrong with the filter. No it's not the filter. There seems to be something wrong with LGs water line. Here's the clincher - I have a water filter under my sink which dispenses chrystal clear, odorless water. I think LG should own up to this defect and provide free repair service. Anyone agree with me?

QuestionDoes this refrigerator run loud? I have an open concept home...noise is a big deal. Is the stainless steel version fingerprint resistant? Thanks

- Answer We recently purchased this refrigerator and were excited by it. Unfortunately the first unit that was installed have a very loud compressor and we ended up having it swapped out for another unit which runs perfectly! It is very quiet and many times you don't even know it's running. So the first unit must have just been a fluke. It is not truly fingerprint resistant but it is much, much better than the previous stainless steel refrigerator we had. We also "processed" the refrigerator ourselves to help prevent fingerprints. So far so good!

QuestionDo the doors come off for delivery? What about a bottom freezer, can it be removed to get in the front door?

- Answer Doors can come off but didn’t have to do that. Took off handles and removed freezer drawer. Did need to do butterfly technique with doors open to get thru hallway opening, moving doors into adjacent room and swiveling.

QuestionWhen the refrigerator is delivered, is it on a cart with wheels? I'm afraid the delivery people will scratch my new wood floors and/or walls.

- Answer Yes! Mines was delivered three weeks ago. They also used a two-man technique, in which they used a harness, to lift the refrigerator from the floor.

QuestionThe refrigerator doors were not leveled by delivery people. How can I easily level the doors so they do not bang close? Also, can I remove the sticker 10 year warranty from the from door ?

- Answer The doors shut hard, not because of leveling but because there is some type of spring in the door - it’s just that most of us are in the habit of shutting the fridge doors too forcefully - you’ll get used to it, and begging shutting it more gently. Yes, you can remove the sticker - your purchase is the basis for the warranty, sticker is nothing kore than an advertisement.

Question3.5# ice prod. is only thing keeping me from buying. Is freezer icemaker optional? What does daily prod. mean? 3.5 capacity? How long does it take to replenish supply? Trying to judge if 3.5 enough for an ice/water drinker w/periodic family vaca visitors

- Answer This fridge is in my home with my wife and child. We use the ice/water maker daily and have friends over on the weekends. Haven't ran out of ice yet. There is an extra ice container in the freezer that we dump ice into occasionally. Saves us from having to run to the store to fill up our ice chest. Haven't timed it but it takes somewhere between 12 and 24 hours for the ice maker to be completely full after dumping it.

QuestionThe video says water supply must be turned off to change filter. I can’t be pulling the fridge out from between cabinets every time the filter needs to be changed. Can I change filter without turning off water supply?

- Answer The Best Buy delivery people and installers hooked up the water immediately and plugged it in right away. Note - as per the instructions, you will want to run a large quantity of water and throw it away or water plants with it, as it will be cloudy. Do the same with the ice cubes. As soon as they connected it, I was putting things in both the fridge and freezer. I knew the freezer items were already frozen, and nothing melted or thawed by the time it got cold. I hope this helps.

- Answer 69 3/4" high to the top of the hinges X 35 3/4" wide X 33 3/4" deep. It barely fit through our front door as ours has a storm door with a piston closer. The closer on the door frame had to be removes as well as the handles on the refrigerator.
