Is this monitor mac compatible? null

I am currently typing this message using the LG 27 IPS 4K UHD monitor from a 2012 (non-retina) MacBook pro using a display cable. I've also used it for a 2015 MacBook pro with a retina display and it looks beautiful on it that. No use getting it if you aren't going to use it for retina in my opinion.

Yes it is. I have 2 of them connected to my MacBook Pro.
