60hz should be fine for video editing. If you're producing as well, you may want to calibrate the colors (I found them a tad off out of the box). For the second part, technically yes but officially no. It's not on NVIDIA's (very) short-list of supported FreeSync monitors. That said, it's been working quite well for me so far with my graphics cards (using 2x 1070 Tis in SLI). I haven't noticed any screen-tearing when my fps drops sub-60. Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes and Yes! I am currently running a RTX 2080 and am able to take advantage of Freesync. Also 60fps is more than good enough for video editing in 4k. There aren't many scenarios that I can think of where you'd need a higher fps than that.
