• The unit does not have a camera. It should support your Macbook pro by connecting via HDMI. ^ Jamal

• Am not sure if it will work with Mac 2008 or not but it does work with my Mac Pro 2018 model. It has two cables - one for HDMI and the other with display port. Hope this helps.

• Forgot to mention this model does not have camera. All LG displays with integrated camera are very expensive. Hope this helps.
