Can this monitor be used in portrait mode? null

I didn't think of this in my last response. I also realized that the stand will only allow you to use it on landscape mode, so you'd have to look for an alternate stand to use in portrait.

It appears that you can use this monitor in portrait mode. You would have to set that up in your operating system's display settings.

I just checked the unit's settings and see no landscape to portrait setting. In Windows 10, you can do it by changing it in Settings. Then just get a VESA mount (the original mount is fixed in position) and rotate the display before you mount it.

No the stand does not pivot. ^Daphane
