• The fridge is almost 40" deep, the freezer when opened adds another 23", plus you have an inch or two behind the fridge for air circulation. Figure a minimum of 65" to open the largest compartment. The freezer drawer is further out from the fridge than the fridge doors when they are open.

• The width of the refrigerator is (Door Open 90˚ with the Handle) 45". It does need an additional 1/8" on both sides for operating clearance. ^CP

• Back wall yes you need 36 inches but for side wall for doors to open up full you would need about 18 inches away from side walls.
