- Answer There are additional speakers you can add, but depending on placement, size of room the soundbar creates a surround sound and isnt necessarily needed.

QuestionIs the HDMI input a 2.1 port or a 2.0 port? What type of HDMI cable should I use to connect my 4K UHD DVD player to the sound bar input? A high-speed cable or an ultra-high-speed cable?

- Answer It isn't listed on the unit but it has one HDMI and one HDMI Arc. If you run passthrough the manual says it is limited to 60hz so a high speed would be fine. It's because of this down step that I believe it is only 2.0. The 60hz cap is only applicable if you run passthrough so if you use the unit with Arc/eArc and have a TV capable of supporting 120hz then you might see a difference and I'd recommend jumping into the Ultra High-Speed cable.

- Answer you have the option to have it turned off. This feature can be found by using the LG Sound Bar app. It gives you three different choices for your display.

Questionhow much does the soundbar (not including the subwoofer) weigh?

- Answer I don’t know the exact weight but it doesn’t weigh that much. I was able to carry it by myself to my unit upstairs. I’m a young guy so maybe that’s why I don’t think it’s heavy. The subwoofer and sound bar are packed together and the box has a handle thing whenever you want to lift it.

QuestionWe purchased this about a week ago. I'm impressed with it for the most part, but I've noticed a really annoying problem. The sound keeps going in and out. It's as if the unit keeps switching from surround to mono, back and forth. Anyone else? Ideas?

- Answer I used the one it came with. I've not noticed any issues at all. But the cable isn't too long if you need a decent length.
