“Is it possible to keep strangers from connecting to the soundbar when you are using it? I have it connected with my LG TV using Sound Sync and my neighbors can connect their devices to my soundbar.”

Hi Pax. Pairing on the LG SN6Y 3.1 Channel High Res Audio Sound Bar with DTS Virtual:X is limited to one Bluetooth device per unit and multi-pairing is not supported, so if you have a device already connected to the Soundbar, other Bluetooth devices should not be able to be paired to it. The Bluetooth connection will be disconnected when the unit is turned off or the Bluetooth device gets too far from the unit. However, you can limit Bluetooth connection to only BT (Bluetooth) and LG TV function to prevent unintended Bluetooth connection by using the Bluetooth connection lock (BT LOCK). You will find the instructions for this on page 36 of your owner's manual for the Soundbar...^IFV
