Check your unit and make sure that it is on cool and not dry or fan. I noticed mine was on dry a couple times because I must have hit the mode button twice on remote. On your mode button are 1. Cool (snowflake) 2. Dry (tear shape) 3. Fan (4 blade shape). Also every once in a while check to make sure your vent hose hasn't slipped off. My husband moved my unit and accidentally disconnected the hose from it. I was very hot and couldn't figure out why. My son came in and noticed it, he was standing near it and felt very warm air. Remember when inserting the vent that you insert then turn. I just insulated mine with bubblewrap and insulated my window. I plan to do all our windows. My son said he could feel a change in temperature after insulating my window yesterday. It took about a day to feel any difference. Our doublewide faces due west and we are in Texas where temps are high and heat indexes in triple digits. I hung black out curtains two sets, one set in front of the other. I was short one so am using a different color until my other comes in. I ordered non-residue tape to tape at vent to ensure it isn't pulled out again. Be sure to check for alert to clean the 2 filters. A red light will come on. I've had to clean every 2 weeks so far. We have cats and a dog. Vacumn frequently if you have pets. The only thing I don't like about the units remote is the screen isn't lit to enable seeing display at night. I keep a small penlight nearby. Hope this helps. I'm very pleased with my little a/c unit, our air handler has leak and no one will look for leak just wants to sell me a matched set, which I dont need for over 8500. plus and refrigerant was banned unbeknownst to us by EPA. I bought 2 window units from Bestbuy and also left review.
