• The only time I ever experienced anything close to that is when my boyfriend added the bleach directly to the clothes :( :( :( Bleach on anything can be very devastating . . .This may be your culprit . . .

• I have never experienced pulls or tears in this machine. It rated very high on Consumer Reports' for gentleness.
