- Answer Same thing happened to me and I realized my pipes in the wall were reversed so just switch hot line to cold and cold line to hot

- Answer Dear Anonymous, You can only buy stackable that are front loading with LG. But you can buy those small capacity GE, whirlpool, and brands like that. They're one unit with a top load washer on bottom and small dryer over top. They're good for tight spaces.

- Answer 27 wide, 29 deep.Standard height, with top front controls. The tub is very deep, so you may have a little trouble reaching small items on the bottom.

Questioneverytime I wash towels the washer leaks (continued)received an answer from LG asking if the repairman checked the connections for the drain pipe and the water inlets. I have no idea. I know my husband had checked to make sure that the water lines (hot & cold) were connected correctly and not leaking. Is this the same thing as the water inlets??? When the repairman showed up (as stated on the original question) he said the machine was not level and also checked the bottom of the washer to see if there was any evidence of water leakage. Why would the drain pipe connections & water inlets be an issue on only loads with towels. Have not had any issues with other loads of wash. Thanks again

QuestionIs it safe to dye clothes using powdered dye in this machine?I need to dye 18 pillow cases using Rit dye. I have done this successfully for years in my old washer that had an agitator. Now that I have this new washer, will the results be as satisfactory? Will it harm the washer in any way? Any special instructions?

- Answer I used to do that with my old type agitator quite a few years ago but I would not, nor have I ever, tried in these as their features are different. But I'm not a pro on that so maybe call the 800 line & ask them to be sure.

QuestionDrain pipe heightMy drain pipe is 32" tall and I can't tell the diameter, but it doesn't look 2" across. It is not a problem with my current machine which is 36.5" tall, but the LG is 40.5". Some of the comments I have read state this could be a problem. I will be buying a new washer and dryer as soon as next week. Should I be changing things out?

QuestionHow deep is the tub?Some people say they are too short to reach the bottom for items. As this unit is 4" taller than my present washer, and as I am 5'4" tall, I have some concern. I have to lean over and into my present washer and if I lean over the taller LG with buttons on front, we may have some accidental button pushing going on, if you know what I mean. For comparison purposes, I placed a yardstick across the top of my machine and measured from there to the bottom of tub at 21.5 inches. What is an equivalent measurement for the LG? I will be buying a new washer next week and it is a toss-up between LG and another name brand.

- Answer I am 5'1'' so I use a small footstool if & when necessary & the LG model's have my vote hands down :) I am an avid shopper & totally look around for all the features, pro's & con's.

- Answer I use Pure Colors and warm water and use a slower spin speed. High spin at the end is what puts serious wrinkles into clothes.

QuestionNo automatic bleach dispenser or soak cycle? How does the washer accommodate this?

- Answer They are on mine. The bleach is in the left front corner as you look down in the machine & the fabric softener is on the left of the soap dispenser that is in the middle of the back of your tub. Did you receive an owner's manual ? ? ? Maybe you are really short like me so I keep a small stepstool in the kitchen at all times :) :) :)

- Answer The only time I ever experienced anything close to that is when my boyfriend added the bleach directly to the clothes :( :( :( Bleach on anything can be very devastating . . .This may be your culprit . . .

- Answer I have a king size comforter and while I do not think its still 2" think (mine is older and lost some of its puff) I do think the washer would handle it. There's a cycle for " heavy bedding" or something like that. I do notice that the comforter tends to ball up in the dryer and doesn't quite get the inside of the ball fully dry. I just pull it out and adjust it and dry again. I don't think any dryer is gonna fully dry that comforter in one shot but it still beats taking to the laundromat to use the industrial size machine!

- Answer Simple wash? Just put your clothes and detergent in and hit play. Literally the start button is the triangle "play" symbol found on any CD,DVD VCR etc. the machine will sense the weight and size of your load and figure out what cycle it needs to wash the best. It is so easy and I've NEVER folded clothes and thought "oh this is still dirty I better wash again"

QuestionWater leaking problem?I recently purchased LG washer model #WT4870C. Love it except that water leaks from the back bottom of the washer. No leaks from any hoses or connections. Best Buy replaced the washer with the same model and that one leaked as well. Has anyone experienced this issue with any of the LG models? Any ideas or suggestion are appreciated. Considering returning this model for the LG WT1101CW.
