Q: QuestionI have an existing whirlpool compact stacking washer and dryer set. Only the dryer is broken. The washer is fine. Is it correct that I would have to get a new washer if I get this dryer because the dryer is ONLY able to be stacked on one specific washer?

The dryer has its own terminal block that must be connected to a separate 240 VAC, 60-Hertz, single-phase circuit, fused at 30 amperes. The circuit must be fused on both sides of the line. Q: QuestionCan the compatible LG washer be plugged into the stacked LG DLEC 888W dryer? I am replacing an ASKO stackable washer and dryer where this is the case-only one electrical outlet exists at the site.

• A:Answer My LG DLEC855W did the same thing when it died. The thermostat had gone bad; the verdict was that, IF the proper part(s) were available, and the time needed to get them, once parts cost was added to labor, it made more sense to start over with a new unit with a warranty.

Q: QuestionHello, What is the longest power cord available for the LG DLEC888W? The dryer would be on the floor and the outlet is just about 6.5 feet from where the dryer power source would be. Or is there a way other than stacking to lift the dryer?

Q: QuestionBasement is very small and has no door to the upstairs, but I am still concerned with the amount of heat this vent less unit will give off. Will I have to run dehumidifier all year long? Will upstairs get hot when drying clothes?
