Q: QuestionIs it possible to use this machine for fabric dye? 1. Add additional water (manually is fine) 2. Soak fabric in that water with dye 3. Spin the fabric without the extra water draining prematurely
Asked by hk111.
- A:Answer Hello there! We understand your inquiry about using your LG WT6100CW 4.3 cu ft. top-load washer for fabric dye—and we’re here to help you explore the possibilities. While this model doesn’t include a dedicated “dye” cycle, you can still try a manual dye-bath technique: Use the Water Plus option – When you begin a load, select Water Plus to increase the fill level. This gives you extra water in the tub for your dye solution. Add your dye and fabric – With the tub filled, pause the washer (press Pause/Start), add your powdered or liquid dye and fabrics, then firmly close the lid to let them soak. Extract excess dye bath – After the soak time you choose, press Pause/Start again, then select Spin Only. The washer will spin to remove excess liquid without running a full wash cycle. Rinse if needed – If you need to rinse, add clean water manually (just lift the lid, pour in water), then hit Rinse + Spin to finish. Troubleshooting tip: If you find the extra water draining too quickly, try adding a small weight (like a sink-safe container) on top of the lid to help maintain the seal during the soak, and ensure the lid is fully closed before pausing the cycle. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-4-3-cu-ft-high-efficiency-top-load-washer-with-slamproof-glass-lid-white/6573547.p?skuId=6573547 If you have any questions during the process or want recommendations for dye-safe detergents and best practices, please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport and our team will be more than happy to explore possible solutions with you. Q: QuestionI just bought this Washer. I test it and found it has vibration during the spin procedure. And I didn't put any cloth inside. Could you please let me know how to avoid the vibration? Thanks a lot Andrew
Asked by Andrew.
- A:Answer The LG 4.3 cu. Ft. Ultra Large Capacity Top Load Washer with Impeller & TurboDrum™ Technology, and SlamProof™ Glass Lid, Model # WT6100CW must be installed on a level, solidly constructed floor capable of supporting the washer without flexing or bouncing. Make sure that the floor is clean, dry and free of dust, dirt, water and oil so the leveling feet cannot slide easily. Leveling feet that can move or slide on the floor can contribute to excess vibration and noise. If the floor has too much flex, reinforce it to make it more rigid. If the floor is not solid, it may cause severe vibration and noise. It must be installed on firm flooring to minimize vibration during the spin cycle. Concrete flooring is best, but a wood floor is sufficient, provided it is built to FHA standards. The floor under the washer must not slope more than 1 inch (2.5 cm) from front to back or side to side. Installing on carpeting and soft tile surfaces is not recommended...^Ivan.

Q: QuestionHi is this machine computerized. I'm looking for a machine that doesn't have codes that come up that I have to pay hundreds of dollars for it to be serviced.
Asked by Cathy.
- A:Answer Hi, Cathy. Thank you for reaching out with your question. The LG Washer (WT6100CW) model is a highly efficient, feature-packed washing machine, and it does have computerized features that help optimize wash cycles and monitor performance. However, like many modern machines, it is designed with diagnostic codes that can appear if there's an issue. These codes are meant to help identify specific problems, which can sometimes lead to service being needed if the machine isn't functioning correctly. That said, it’s important to know that these codes don’t always require costly repairs. Many issues can be addressed with simple troubleshooting, like ensuring the washer is level, checking for blockages in the hoses, or verifying that the door or lid is properly closed. If a code does appear, we always recommend checking the user manual or reaching out to us for guidance on potential solutions. If you're looking for a machine that avoids complicated diagnostics or heavy repair costs, it’s good to explore more basic models that offer fewer features, although this may come at the cost of some advanced functions and energy efficiency. Q: QuestionHow comes when washing my clothes on normal the water doesn’t even cover the clothes. Just the very bottom and there aren’t many clothes in there!?
Asked by MSK.
- A:Answer Hi, there. Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your LG Washer (WT6100CW) model. We understand your concern about experiencing issues with your unit where the water level isn't sufficient to cover your clothes during a normal wash cycle. This unit is a high-efficiency washer, which means it uses less water than traditional models. It’s designed to sense the load size and adjust the water level accordingly. If you have a small load, it may not fill up as much as you expect. If the load is too small or not evenly distributed, the washer may not fill with as much water. Try adding a few more items or redistributing the clothes to see if that helps. Check if your machine has a setting for water level. Some models allow you to manually adjust the water level for different load sizes. If the water supply hoses are kinked or clogged, it could affect the water flow into the machine. Inspect the hoses to ensure they are clear and properly connected. If the water level sensor is malfunctioning, it may not be detecting the correct water level. This could require professional service to diagnose and fix. For additional help, you may visit https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/lg-washer-how-to-increase-the-water-level--20153067163643. If you've checked these factors and the issue persists, it may be a good idea to consult the user manual or contact LG customer support for further assistance. Please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport, and our team will be more than happy to help you. We appreciate your patience and look forward to assisting you. ^Juvy

Q: Questionthanks for your response but i still cannot locate the The drain pump filter. you said it is located at the front of the washer, typically behind a small access panel at the bottom. is there any video to see that because i couldn't find anything.
Asked by Amy.
- A:Answer Hello there, Amy. Thank you for reaching out again. We understand your situation and are here to help you locate the drain pump filter for your LG WT6100CW washer. The drain pump filter is actually located at the back of the washer, near the bottom since your washer is a top load washer. You should see a cap there. To access it, turn the cap counter-clockwise, and you should be able to pull it out. If you're still unable to locate it, we recommend checking out an instructional video on the official LG YouTube channel, which often includes step-by-step tutorials. Q: QuestionDoes this needs any filter cleaning or drain pump cleaning and where is that?
Asked by Amy.
- A:Answer Hello there, Amy! Thank you for your question about the WT6100CW washer. This model does not require a traditional filter for cleaning; however, it is advisable to periodically clean the drain pump filter to ensure optimal performance. The drain pump filter is located at the front of the washer, typically behind a small access panel at the bottom. To clean it, first turn off the washer and unplug it. Then, open the access panel and place a towel or shallow dish beneath to catch any water. Carefully unscrew the filter cap and pull out the filter, cleaning any lint or debris before reinserting it and securing the cap.
