If you have an issue with maintenance, don't get an LG front loader. You have to clean the filter in the back every month. I don't know about other brands.

Please try again later.To prepare a front load washer for extremely cold weather: Close both the hot and cold water taps, disconnect the hoses from the taps and then drain the water from the hoses into a sink or a bucket. Then drain any residual water from the drum into a pan or small bowl by opening the lower cover cap found at the bottom left side of the washer and uncapping the manual drain hose. Once all the residual water has been drained, remove the drain hose from the drain pipe and place it on the floor next to the washer. Note: before doing your next load of laundry, remember to re-install the drain hose in the drain pipe correctly. Also reconnect both the hot and cold hoses to the proper taps. ^CP
