QuestionI am replacing an older LG washer. The pedestal I currently have is WDP3W (27”). Is the LG WM4000HWA compatible with the WDP3W pedestal? Do I need anything additional to make it work?

- Answer The washer is compatible with pedestal WDP4W. The LG - 27" Laundry Pedestal with Storage Drawer, Model # WDP4* replaced the WDP3* pedestal but they are both designed for compatibility with 27" LG Front Load Washers and Dryers. The only difference between them will be the mounting bracket installation. The WDP4* uses the t-clip installation method. ^Daphane

- Answer Normal, Heavy Duty, Bedding, Sanitary, Allergiene, Tub Clean, Bright Whites, Delicates, Perm. Press, Towels, Speed Wash. Unfortunately the manual does not explain what any of them do- I haven’t checked the website for the info yet.

QuestionThe main wash bin isn’t big enough to hold the amount of liquid detergent needed for big loads. We measure up to “5” using a Tide cup, but only half of that will reach the max line. How can I use more than what the bin can hold? Thanks!

- Answer The depth of 30-1/4" is from the base front to back. To ensure sufficient clearance for water inlet hoses, drain hose and airflow, allow minimum clearances of at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) at the sides and 4 inches (10 cm) behind the washer. ^Daphane

QuestionFirst time buying an LG washer my question is Is it normal to make a noise when it starts washing? It make a squeaky noise for about 15 sec then it washes normal it makes that noise again with it’s gonna start spinning I have only 2 days with the washer

QuestionHow many inches is it from the edge of washer to door handle? My concern is if an accordion door might block the door from opening if it is close to the edge.

- Answer Depends on the size and type of load, and setting you choose. Definitely not 1-2 hours for normal laundry. There’s a Turbo wash that gets loads done within 40 minutes. Love this feature. Couldn’t be happier with a washer if that’s possible.
