Hi, Dolby Atmos sound can be transmitted through any HDMI cable, including HDMI 2.0. However, you also need to be sure that all devices involved, such as the TV, are capable of delivering Atmos. For equipment that can handle HDMI eARC, HDMI 2.1 cables are recommended, but HDMI 2.0 cables will work fine.^Vanessa
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you're source connects directly to the soundbar, then yes, that is the best way to get the maximum number of codecs. Only certain codecs will be passed backwards from the TV to the sound bar, and that depends on the TV.
