So I pushed gently on the screen where I was seeing the gray and the halo disappeared... I’m not sure if this is a permanent fix or not... I wouldn’t push too hard but may be worth a try...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As the other person mentioned. Gently pushing with a soft cloth in a polishing motion got rid of it. I only noticed the Halo after removing the stickers at the top which I had left on for a hour or so while setting it up. After that it appeared and it occurred to me after ironically watching an LG video regarding VA vs IPS panels that was demonstrating VA panels are susceptible to push/pull. So I tried the gently rubbing thing and it worked.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM BUT WAS ABLE TO CORRECT IT. TRY THIS.....GO TO MENU, THEN TO SETTINGS, THEN TO USER PREFERRENCES, SCROLL DOWN TO VIDEO AND BACKGROUND, LOOK TO THE RIGHT OF THAT AND IF YOU SEE A "YES" TAKE IT OFF AND LEAVE IT BLANK. I DID THIS AND IT TOOK IT OUT OF DEMO MODE AND AUTOMATICALLY PUTS IT IN "CUSTOMER MODE", YOU WONT SEE THOSE WORDS BUT JUST REMOVE THE "YES" AND HOPEFULLY IT WILL WORK FOR YOU. GOOD LUCK.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I DON'T HAVE AN ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION BUT I TO HAVE THE SAME HALO IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN. THIS HALO ONLY APPEARS WHEN THERE IS A BLACK BACKGROUND. I WONDER IF THERE IS A WAY TO FIX IT? MAYBE BESTBUY CAN GET IN TOUCH WITH LG AND GET AN ANSWER FOR US.
