After reading many reviews, I bought this as a birthday present to replace a 13 year old Sharp Aquos 52" tv. Love the magic remote (takes a little to get used to it), Great picture, good sound, bluetooth very nice to have at night when the wife wants to sleep...plenty of apps including LG Channels, fun to have a full web browser and voice recognition on a big tv! Deep, true blacks, brilliant picture (took a bit of time to get used to LED -)Good controls and highly tweakable - Stores the current 15 channels you're watching so you can switch back and forth effortlessly.....from the race, to the game, to the cooking show and back again! Recommended!

I picked this tv up for my son and fortunately or unfortunately he has the best TV in the house..picture is amazing. Watching 4k shows on Amazon or Netflix is a pleasure. Obviously video games look great. This tv also has a remote similiar to a laser pointer meaning you need only point to a letter versus using a scroll button. Had for a few months now and felt it was appropriate to now give a review. I also picked up the TV mount on line for under 25 bucks.

Excellent value especially for the price plus it’s a smart TV. LG is the perfect brand. Picture is clear and crisp. Volume is great. You can select software to automatically update which is a plus. Connects to our iPhone and iPad without issue.

Great tv we like it a lot super light and the remote took some getting used to but it’s great now it has shortcuts to Netflix and Amazon prime ( it’s like it knew what we watch).

The tv looks great but I'm really disappointed because I was told on the phone by an associate that the tv had the remote and TV stand with the tv but when I got home and opened it the remote and TV stand is nowhere to be found. I will be returning this if they dont have the tv stand and remote for me.

I finally decided to upgrade from a 10 year old 43" LG TV and 4k was the way to go. I was on the fence between this LG or a Samsung, but I went this route because of the success with my last LG...and I'm so glad I went with this choice. It's a very sleek looking TV, colors are very vivid, it gets very bright, and I just love the low input lag for gaming. When I turn on my Xbox it'll automatically change to gaming mode where I can adjust (and save) the picture/colors separately than when I watch TV/movies. Plus it triggers low input lag for faster responsiveness when it comes to gaming. I tried with it on and off and the difference is staggering. I absolutely love it. It's also very good for watching shows and movies. Is it perfect? Of course not. If you want that you'll need to spend a lot more. That's the point of a super high quality set. But if you want something actually affordable that is a good "use for anything" TV then this is the one. It's great for a bedroom and the upgrade from regular 1080 HD is staggering. I'll also mention the Magic Remote. It's definitely unique. It's basically a remote and Nintendo Wiimote rolled into one. I love it. The Bluetooth on this tv has been solid, setup was very quick, and there are tons of apps. I bought this TV for $400 and I still feel I got great value in it. I just love this TV and have already given it a lot of use since there haven't been too many places to go lately. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but LG knows how to make a great TV.

    LG Has Unique Features

Recently acquired the LG 50” 4K UHD Smart TV with HDR for the Master Bedroom and so far, so good. This replaces a 49” LG 1080p LED TV that was about seven years old and finally kicked rocks and I gave zero thought to getting it repaired because it made better sense economically and technically to upgrade to the current day format of media entertainment. The remote control is slick and for a 50” TV, it’s relatively on the lite side and I do have it wall mounted. It’s loaded with an array of Apps for streaming and features including Google Assistance, Alexa and Apple Airplay 2 compatibility. My only gripe with the LG model that I purchased, is in order to fully enjoy and access all the features that it has to offer, you must agree to a laundry list of terms and conditions which grants them the right to monitor all of your activity associated with your TV viewing and verbal commands through the remote.

Great 4K tv to use as a monitor for MacBook

I purchased this tv as a recommendation from a friend to use as a mon8tor for my new MacBook Pro. The 4K display and ease of setup was great. The tv has multiple HDMI ports which has allowed me to hook up my MacBook, Hp PC and my gaming console. The on screen control allows me to easily move from system to system in seconds. I’ve noticed no lag time issues and the experience is great. The image from the PC is good, but the MacBook delivers beautiful 4K that is sharp and clear. If your are looking at a large monitor option for MacBook, this is a great option at a very reasonable price, especially when on sale.

This LG 55-inch TV is our first large TV (over 42"). We love it so far. The TV fits our dining room nicely and we are able to watch it in the dining room as well as from the kitchen. The TV is connected to the Internet through a wired connection (we wired a good portion of the house with a number of switches). It connects well to the Internet and can provide many channels of free content (though we, to be honest, aren't thrilled with the content of many channels). Connecting the Comcast TV box, Chromecast, and our own TV box is easy and straightforward. I like the fact that there is a composite/component combo connection (only one usable at a time) so that we can connect our older DVD player. I updated the firmware as soon as the TV is set up. WebOS works reasonably well. The interface, however, is not the most intuitive. Although I like the voice-capable remote control, it took a little bit of effort to get used to it. I do have a few complaints. 1. Before the TV went through a firmware update, it froze. It does not take the "power off" signal from the remote. I had to unplug the TV from the power to restart it. There's got to be a power on/off button on the TV, I thought (at least it's on every TV--old and new--we owned. I literally hunt for it and I found it eventually--underbeneath the LG logo. LG: put the info on the quick start manual or somewhere. If the TV freezes, at least the users can power it off and on without crawling to the back of the TV to unplug the power cord. 2. The Bluetooth connection has issues. I was able to connect an external speaker (OontZ Angle 3 Plus) and wireless earbuds (Oontz Angle 3 Budz), but unable to connect to my Sennheiser PXC 550. I tried multiple times and the LG TV could not discover my Sennheiser. The Sennheriser can easily connected to my phone, PC, tablet, and the other TV, so I conclude that it is more a LG issue than a Sennheiser issue. Would be nice if LG can fix this issue in the next firmware update. Overall, we like the TV so far.

This is the best TV that I’ve ever owned. I’ve had smaller, lower quality TV’s all my life. I invested in this TV when I found it on sale and could not believe how amazing the picture quality is! It’s almost like they people on the screen are in the room with me. I have TVs in other rooms in my house but this is the one I prefer to watch. Easy to set up, easy to use, the remote works great. I absolutely love it! Perfect size for my tiny living room yet a decent sized screen. I actually enjoy watching TV again….....

I buy a new TV about once every 10 years, so this was a big upgrade from the 32” Toshiba I got in 2009. Very easy to set up with Comcast & with my Netflix, YouTube and Amazon Prime accounts. The Magic remote took a little getting used to, but after I slowed down the pointer speed & got more familiar with it, it’s really great. Speaker quality is good enough for me. I live in a small apartment & don’t need real loud sound. Also, easy to connect to my airpods. Nice bright picture, great for a room that gets lots of afternoon sun.

I love it!!! It is nice and big, and fits on my stand. Sound is better than any TV I have had. No longer do I have a problem when watching a movie on Prime or Netflix that I can barely hear when maxing out the volume!!!!!!! The remote is awesome, you get a netflix and prime video button! You can also use a mic button to talk to search. Haven't fully figured the tv and remote features, out yet. THIS TV DOES NOT SUPPORT SHOWTIME APPS! The only 2 issues is that the mounting capability sucks. We have stand that is made for 50 plus inch tv's, but the hardware does not fit the tv. So its not mounted right, but we got it to work another way. The other problem is the picture is difficult to adjust to in that when watching some tv shows and movies, the tv picture looks to us like we are watching a home video. It looks that real I guess haha. It took a while to get use to it for us. Still my husband at times says it throws him off and takes away from the show or movie. Not sure what this is. I am guessing this is what people like, but we don't but can get use to it. The only example I can give is when you look at a video on Prime that is a Indies Rights film, then you look at a movie like Playing with Fire, that was in theaters. Majority of the stuff on this tv looks like the picture of the Indie Rights films, B movies. These 2 reasons are why I gave it 4 stars.

It’s been 5 years since i needed a tv. One thing that i loved about this tv is the remote. While doing the initial set up, the remote works perfect. I love the integrated mouse, just point and click. I don’t use my direct tv remote. One thing that it didn’t specified on the tv is that this tv is wi-fi. I bought a wall wi/fi extender and had to return it.i didn’t mind, i saved 89 dollars. Now I enjoy all the apps that this unit offers without having my blue ray player connected to it for the internet! Great price and great picture!

This tv is great. Looked up some expert settings and got it to look amazing. I love the magic remote because it automatically works with my Xbox One and cable tv box. Also love the fact that I can connect my Bluetooth headphones to it. Ordered it online and came in 5 days. Great price.
