• This TV supports Miracast, which is different from Chromecast or Airplay. Miracast works from my generic Android tablet and my galaxy S5 phone, but works differently from Chromecast and Airplay - you can find the details online. Miracast requires dedicating your device to video streaming, which Chromecast does not.

• I can't answer this for an Apple device, but my LG G4 Android phone and my new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge both can mirror on this TV, and quite nicely. In addition, my Microsoft Surface 3 will also mirror on this TV. I was pleasantly surprised!

• Yes you can. The LG comes with software baked in to allow easy connection. However, if you have a (slightly) older device, You can use the ScreenBeanMinini2 to connect your device.
