“In the reviews the LG UH8500 gets above par at 7.8 over all. however the down side which by the way concerns me is that the picture isn't the best in a dark environment. Cant you adjust the brightness to make it better. anyone have this problem?”

• The brightness is fine, but the black levels are barely passable. I would go with a Vizio p series or Samsung 8000 or higher for a dark room.

• I have this set in my bedroom and it works just fine so I'm not sure what the issue is. I've never had a problem with it. Huge number of setting controls to screw it up to your liking!
