• Buy a decent Blu Ray player. It will play your DVD's and should have a better picture than a regular DVD player. Philips will be coming out with a good 4K player pretty soon around $250

• Take a look at the new OPPO UDP-203. It's a 4k, Ultra HD Blu-ray player which also does pretty much every audio format out there.
