• No, the remote for these models are use radio frequency and most set top boxes are infrared. ^Daphane

• When I first installed the LG GX TV, I was able to control my Spectrum cable box with the LG remote. One day later, it stopped working and I haven't been able to restore that functionality. I now have to use the cable box remote. I don't have this problem with the other TVs I own (Sony and Samsung), only with the LG.
