“I'm experiencing heavy lag while watching sports. Is there a certain setting that needs to be adjusted? Do my hdmi cords need to be upgraded? This tv has 240 tru motion, it should not be lagging like this, especially considering my cheaper 4K Sony doesn't”

A common problem with newer HDR capable TVs is that they are often hooked up with the video connection running thru an older Audio/Video receiver that does not support the new HDR standards. What happens then is that "older" A/V then effectively "downcoverts" the video signal by stripping the HDR signal from the video feed. This can cause lag and stutter in the displayed picture. If you connect through an A/V receiver then simply try a direct connection from your video source to the TV to see if the A/V receiver is causing the problem. Your Sony tv may not have HDR capability so it would work fine when the A/V signal.
