Q: QuestionDoes the LDG3036ST model have the easy clean decal on the front of the control panel?I've seen some pictures with it and some without. I would prefer without. This could be a deal breaker as I don't think this is appealing at all. Thank you.

• A:Answer In the bottom right corner it has an easy clean logo. It is a black outlined logo.

Q: QuestionIs this an energy saving model that could potentially be eligible for any rebates? If so how can I find out more?I purchased this and several other appliances from Best Buy. I found out information quick on rebates for the washer and fridge on the energy star website but can't find anything about rebates for this one.

The EPA does not sponsor rebates or special offers, nor do all ENERGY STAR partners, but ENERGY STAR partners occasionally sponsor special offers, such as sales tax exemptions or credits, or rebates on certified products and the URL above has a search that is provided as a service to consumers to find such special offers or rebates where they exist, based on information that partners submit to ENERGY STAR. The reason you are not finding anything on the Double Oven Gas Convection Range is because these are not energy saving appliances that would qualify for such rebates...^IFV

Q: QuestionOven Temperature not matching settngIs anyone else having issues with the oven temp not getting to the desired settin, i.e I set it for 350, and even though it says it reached that temp, it always takes longer for food to cook than instructions call for. This happens 100% of the time with top oven, which I used he most. I have not tested the lower oven.

• A:Answer Hello Lei. Thank you for your inquiry. If you think that the your oven is too hot or too cold, you can adjust the thermostat yourself. On page 20 of your owner's manual are instructions on how to do just that and you will need to get a thermometer from a grocery store to help with the adjustment. Keep in mind though that the type of cookware you're using can cause temperature variances and that opening the door while cooking can also lower the temperature thus affecting cooking time. The other thing to keep in mind is that the cooking times given are not exact, they are close approximations because so many factors can affect the cooking time. Q: QuestionHas my stove LDG3036ST LG stove already been converted to LP gas?I purchased the stove at the Best Buy in Rio Hondo (Bayamón) Puerto Rico. I asked about the conversion to LP and was told that it had already been installed. I checked the place where the orifices were supposed to be located on the back of the stove and they weren't there. Am I to assume that the orifices were installed already? Thanks.

• A:Answer Big Me, Thank you for your question with regards to the conversion of your LDG3036ST 30" Sel-Cleaning Freestanding Double Oven Gas Convection Range. Why would they have already converted your Oven before you requested it? How would they know you wanted it converted unless that is the only way to hook up gas in that entire area and so it is standard for them to convert the Ovens when they are purchased. If it was converted, is the hose that you connect to your Propane tank attached? You will need to call Best Buy Geek Squad for confirmation...IFV

Q: QuestionDoes this oven heat up the whole room?Does the oven/range get super hot to the touch (outside) when the oven is on? Does it heat up the whole room? My current oven is so poorly insulated that it heats the whole room and you can literally hear the food cooking inside with the door closed. I have to get away from that. thanks for your help

• A:Answer Hello K. From my experiences so far this oven is very well sealed and does nto heat the whole room. The heat does vent out just above the burners so it may get a little warmer up there but not even close to hot.

Q: QuestionSpecs on the website say that the LDG3036ST is double convection.I bought the oven specifically because it said it was double convection. This is not a minor mistake if this is the issue.

Q: QuestionWhat's the difference with regards to "hook up" and "installation"?Wanted to by this and still do, on-line I was ready to buy it, but wanted the wife to see it 1st hand. Went by the local BB and the sales rep mentioned that it would cost an additional 139.95 to have it installed. Meanwhile on line "if purchasing appliances totalling over 399.95 free delivery, haul away, and hook-up. And further more I was willing to purchase brand new tubing from BB if I wanted the item hooked up.

• A:Answer BB does not install. If you already have a game line my guess is that they will "hook up" the connection. When I initially purchased mine they did charge me an installation fee which was later refunded because they don't do installation

• A:Answer It is just another method to start the flame. The old style "standing pilot" has now been forced out by greenies and code as it burned a bit if gas all the time, generally in the later designs, by holding the "pilot valve" open. The standing pilot system in a way it is less desirable safety wise - if - if something were to fall like a kitchen towel on the range top (as it applies to a cook top), it might accidently fall in just the right way to start something. Also, gas is being wasted (an immesurable amount yes) and the pilot vale could malfunction letting that tiny bit of gas fill the room (maybe depending on how leaky the room is). What an electronic ignition is - is an alternate method to light gas to a standing pilot. It either sparks - the pop-pop-pop sound (like a sparkplug in a car) - or - uses a resistive heating element (like the glowplugs in a diesel engine). Perhaps the biggest diference is that electronic ignition is a 'start on demand' system vs an 'at the ready' system like a standing pilot (light).
