Good question, we have a new LG, my wife is meticulous in her cleaning. The problem as I see it isn't on the outer surface but under the glass. We use expensive cookware (isn't it amazing how the company blames cookware!) So that's not an issue. How many people are having this problem?

I used the exact same cookware I used on my previous glass too oven. My Electrolux cooktop was in perfect condition, not one mark on it after using it for 8 years. After one week using the lg ioven using the same cookware my glass Cooktop a mess Nothing makes it come clean. I am so upset about this. So it is not the cookware but something with the cook top itself

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem with the white cloudiness under the glass. Will not come off. I had a GE glass top for 20 years, this never happened. LG should replace our glass cooktops since this is clearly a manufacturer defect. Maybe a class action lawsuit?
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We have a brand new Whirlpool stove top with the smooth glass. Just used it and I have the exact same issue as the person below. I have three tiny areas where the spots are not on top of the glass but under the glass. So weird. This is a temporary stove since this new one was damaged by a contractor, but I am guessing I will have the same issue with the permanent one. ☹️

It appears they were waiting for the warranty to end. Even after sending a technician, LG decided not to replace the unit. I am still fighting this issue because I believe LG is a poor-quality company that produces low-quality appliances. Specifically, I have two issues: the melting of the appliance, which LG calls "discoloration," and a strong odor that I cannot explain. I advise you not to purchase any products from LG.

I've owned many glass top ranges in the last 25 years and this is the first time I've had a problem. This one is very hard to keep clean and now there is a white discoloration happening that I cannot remove. I called the company and they blame everything but the range.
