“My question is about the cooktop being hard to keep clean, as many reviewers say. Comments are that the cooktop gets permanent marks that can’t be cleaned off easily or in some cases at all, and that the cooktop also scratches very easily. Pls advise.”

Haven't had that problem yet. It generally wipes clean with a dry paper towell and occasional use of the appropriate cleaner.

The cooktop is not hard to clean as on the manual, there's a cookware on what to use and how to clean cooktop and oven.
