• 2 passive glasses come with LG TV (no batteries which would make then 'active', heavier and less comfortable to wear). LG glasses are better than movie theater 3D glasses and wrap around you eye/face giving you a more realistic 3D experience. I recommend ordering extra set of same through LG online as Best Buy does not carry which is what store rep recommended too.

• Passive type. You can use the ones they give you at the movie theater to save a couple pennies. My purchase,an LG 8500 came with two pairs and they are light and comfortable.
