• The 6150 is basically a newer model, but the comparisons are very close for both TV's. They have the same diagonal screen size, same refresh rate etc. The main differences are that the newer model has color prime pro, local dimming and is compatible with the magic remote. Also the newer model has one more USB port.

• I believe the 6000 Series are IPS displays with local dimming and the 5500 are not.
