A:Answer All tv's will benefit fro a calibration. This TV is pretty good out of the box. Especially colors. Better than most. However, it still could use a calibration to set up you gama, contrast & brightness settings. The problem with this tv wirthout getting very technical is that it's difficult to calibrate. And it's also new OLED technology and now with the new er HDR. Unfortunately, there are not many calibrators out there with the experieince to calibrate this TV corrreclty. Let alone the equpiment to calibarte HDR properly. I only know of a handful of good calibraters for this TV. You will need to find a good calibrater with patience and who is willing to take the time to calibrate this correctly. A good calibration will also increase the life of your TV by not making it any brighter thanit needds to be. If the TV isnt calibrated properly, people may not like it. But I can also infrom you that yes, some people don't even like a properly calibrated TV. The TV typically will not be as bright as people are use to. For me personally, it makes the color warmer than I like. Hopefully this helps. For more information, visit the AVS Forum online. Great information there from some diehard videophiles.
