The TV itself doesn't listen to anything. You have to push the microphone button on the remote control to give it a command, or chose to link the TV to a smart speaker. So if you don't do either of those, there is nothing to worry about.

But to "wake up" the TV to ask for a google home/alexa command, you have to press and hold the voice button on the remote. It doesn't work like the standard smart speakers, so I don't believe that it is always listening like they do. Hope this helps you.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Amazon Alexa capability does not have to be connected. The TV only listens when the Smart Assistant button is pressed on the magic remote. ^CP
