Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The LG C9 Class 4K Smart OLED TV w/ AI ThinQ® series TVs are 2019 models and the LG C8PUA 4K HDR Smart OLED TV w/ AI ThinQ® series TVs are 2018 models. New for the 2019 models is the 2nd Generation LG α9 Intelligent Processor and they all feature full spec HDMI 2.1 ports. With HDMI 2.1 ports offer variable refresh rate (VRR) and automatic low latency mode (ALLM, or auto game mode) as well as the enhanced audio return channel (eARC). They all will support AirPlay 2 and HomeKit and they all now have Alexa built-in in addition to built-in Google Assistant. They support Bluetooth version 5.0 and most also are WiSA Ready. HDMI 2.1 allows for higher resolutions at higher frame rates than before and you can get 4K at 120Hz, 8K at 60Hz, and right up to 10K resolution for industrial and commercial applications...^IFV
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Both are essentially the same: C9pua is 2019 version C8pua is 2018 version I paid over 3000 for it at Best Buy and I'm not impressed at all with the image. It's nowhere as sharp as it is on display. It comes with no manual. I had to call support to get rid of the soap opera look to all the tv and movie shows. The manual is a Zip file you can download to a PDF file then you have to search through the various languages to find the English version for each and everything you want to look up. I have Century Link cable service. All the network channels have blurred edges on all the shows in short the images are all blurred. Lg says the issue is with the cable service - likely story! No one with different brand ex Samsung has this problem. Even the color is blotchy on the face of some personalities ex the Judge Judy show - Facial tones totally out of whack. The images shown in the BB display is not seen at all on this TV - there is absolutely no sharpeness on this TV. I can go on and on, but in short the picture quality leaves a lot to be desired!!! I'll be calling the Geek Squad to see if they can resolve this issue. Good luck, if you purchase one!
