“But the staff working there (Best Buy) told me that it works up to 240 volt without the converter. Now you are telling me I need one. I am a little bit confused here since I have taken the TV to Africa without converter. What shall I do? Thanks.”

Our TV's are designed for use within the US. We cannot guarantee usage and compatibility beyond the US. It does require 120Vac for optimal operation.
