Stunning picture quality
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This has been a great purchase. The picture quality is stunning, as well as the sound. My previous t.v was also an LG, smart 4k ultra hd, which was great, but I can tell a big difference with my new t.v., such as, the color is more rich and vivid, and so much easier to see what is going on when I watch scenes that are dark. I mainly use it to stream Netflix or Amazon Prime t.v, so I don’t know what regular cable or satellite t.v would look like, but as long as it offers HD channels, I would assume great. Most of what I stream is HD, a lot of shows still haven’t updated to 4K or Dolby yet, and the picture quality still outranks other t.v’s I have watched. You won’t regret purchasing this television! I always read reviews so I hope this helps.

The best tv ever !!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I added this 65” LG to our new living room and also get Best Buy service to get it installed !! This TV is a fantastic easy to set up smart bright TV. Way better than other TVs I had before. It came perfectly packed, just pull up the box. It was super easy to unpack. The LG smart controller is awesome and responds well to voice commands. Good features !! The sound system is excellent I don’t need a Home theater. This TV is a great value for the money.

Perfect for Movies / Gaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, please understand that I have not owned or even had a chance to view a OLED TV - other than what is on demonstration in the stores. I did some research, and I knew the amount of gaming that took place - most likely a OLED was not the smartest decision. I budgeted myself and started looking. It was time to upgrade from my Samsung. This teamed up with my Panasonic UB820 really makes for a pleasant movie experience. I think I am still going through the settings and finding what works / looks the best in my room -- but I'm using RTings settings for the LG B8 as a reference point. Right now movies look great! Cable even looks really good ... and just as importantly, Games look fantastic (Xbox One X & PS4 Pro) Setting up the “Magic” remote was a snap and everything works perfectly with it. This is a great TV and getting it on sale makes the experience even more enjoyable. If your concerned that gaming will cause “burn-in” on an OLED, this is the perfect middle to consider.

Great tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture and decent sound. This bad boy is a great step up from my old 42 inch RCA. The remote is a pointer device that makes navigating easy. It has Google assistant or Alexa built in and works with apple homekit. Also has apple TV built in. Pretty tight tv.

Great TV with fast processing
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv has a great picture, processing speed, and the OS is smooth throughout quickly changing between Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc. initially wanted an OLED but went with this for the price and brighter picture for a bright room. Not disappointed so far.

Great Value for the Money & Picture is Flawless
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this TV since May 2019 & did not realize the quality of the TV that I owned. I was attempting to upgrade to an LG LED TV before I really gave this TV a chance. I was in the process of accepting an exchange when I talked to my Deliveryman & explained how I was not totally loving the TV. I was watching regular shows with 720p service & did not understand why my picture wasn't as beautiful as that which I had seen in the Store display. He showed me the difference in the quality of the picture which is dependent upon the content that is being sent to it. He set my TV for Optimal Performance within my Space & showed me what flawless picture I would get in 4K streaming & I fell in Love. I refused the LED TV although there wasn't much difference in price because it is so easy to operate with my Streaming Prime Videos, YouTube Videos, Netflix & other compatible Smart products. I am so Happy with my Choice, which was not made lightly. I just Love My wall mounted NanoCell with Sonos Beam & Sonos Ones. The Movies are over Here!

Best value in LED TV.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am possibly a sales persons worst nightmare, I am a chronic procrastinator that over analyzes every purchase. I studied and compared refresh rates, panel design, backlighting, contrast, CPU’s, not to mention operating systems. The LG nano 9 is the clear winner and Best Buy is the place to purchase. Patrick and Joe at Eastgate rock, and the TV is perfect. The best value/picture/sound for the money. Although not the cheapest TV , it has the best picture for the money. It is LGs top LED TV , and although OLED looked slightly better for 40% more, I felt the panel’s are to fragile. 65” is a great size, get one now, it’s a no brainer..

Q: QuestionI like the 65inch Nano 9 Series , BUT am extremely nervous about its stability. This TV would be on top of an entertainment center. I'd like to find a way to fix the "wobble". Can smaller TV legs be added on the back to help? (no wall mounting)
Asked by Jack.
- A:Answer Clarification - This particular TV does not have "legs". The main TV stand is in the middle and branches out to the sides. However, they do not branch out far enough to support the TV from the wobble. The original question/answer seems to indicate there is no way to put smaller "legs" near the outside in order to help with stability. I suppose I'll have to find a universal stand that reaches outwards , providing the support, and or anti-tipping straps that are able to brace it. That's unfortunate as I would really have liked to get this TV without having to worry about stability. Of all things.

Q: QuestionIf I connect this TV via eARC to my vizio soundbar I just bought (has ARC input) and I connect my UHD Atmos Blu ray player into TV hdmi port......will this passthrough Dolby Atmos sound from my bluray through my tv and to mysoundbar and play atmos sound?
Asked by JImboski10.
- A:Answer Hello Jimboski10. While Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD are two separate soundtrack formats, Atmos data on Ultra HD Blu-ray is actually an extension to TrueHD that is folded into the bitstream to maintain backwards compatibility. If you play a disc with an Atmos soundtrack, the Atmos extension data is decoded by an Atmos- compatible receiver or Soundbar. If your receiver/Soundbar isn’t Atmos compatible, the extension data is ignored and the soundtrack is decoded as regular Dolby TrueHD. The eARC port on the LG NanoCell 90 Series 4K 65 inch Class Smart UHD NanoCell TV w/ AI ThinQ® (64.5'' Diag), Model # 65SM9000PUA will pass through Dolby TrueHD or Dolby Digital Plus when the Digital Sound Out is set to Pass Through in the TV. Dolby Digital Plus is less compressed than Dolby TrueHD and requires less bandwidth. However, as mentioned above, you will only get Dolby TrueHD on your Soundbar since it does not support Dolby Atmos and because the new configuration requires that both the TV and your Soundbar must support HDMI 2.1 and eARC sends full-resolution audio signal via an HDMI cable. ARC doesn’t allow you to bitstream the full-fat high-quality codecs such as Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio or DTS:X soundtracks that you find on Blu-rays and 4K Blu-rays. It simply strips out the core 5.1 data stream. If you want this level of functionality, you’ll need HDMI eARC. The main benefit of eARC is a big boost in bandwidth and speed. This allows you to send higher-quality audio from your TV to a soundbar or AV receiver. As is the case with ARC, you’ll need two devices with compatible HDMI eARC sockets for the protocol to work. This means they need to meet the HDMI 2.1 standard...^IFV
