“Does gas dryer need water hook up for steam function?”

Hi Mark, yes that is correct! You'd need to hook up the water line to the dryer for the steam function. ^Chris

Yes. There is a kit with a 6 foot hose, a 6 inch hose, and a Y connector that you must purchase.
