What type of CDs are you attempting to play, are they pre-mastered CDs or blank CDs. The Playable discs on this unit are Audio CD, MP3, WMA CD, CD-R, and CD-RW. Check that the cds do not have scratches on them and that they have been inserted the right side up. The other possibility might be that the laser somehow got misaligned and that would cause it to misread the cds. That will need a repair service to re-align it. You can also try looking for a dry laser cleaner. If there are any dust particles or dirt on the laser, that would also cause the mis-reads. Don't use a wet cleaner as that might exascerbate the problem because it leaves a residue on the laser...^IFV
