Drew: check the back of your TV for a digital audio output connection. It's a tiny little black square. If you have this, you will need a digital output converter for it to work with your TV. The converter has very simple setup and most converters include a headphone jack which makes this unit compatible with headphones once connected! Be sure to get a digital audio cable if it's not included with the converter. You will plug the red and white A/V cable from the stereo to the converter, then plug the digital audio cable from TV to converter and you're good to go!
