I purchased the LG 700W mini shelf system and like it however I cant get the USB ports to work. I tape myself playing my drums on an ipad and then wanted to plug it in the USB port to play it through my LG and it keeps saying No USB Media. What gives? null

Hopefully you have an answer by now but if not, you will need to connect the iPad via Bluetooth for playback.

The USB ports on mine works fine. Have you tried a different USB? Or maybe change the file format you're using to save?
Some systems get a bit confused when you connect a USB that has other items saved like pictures, videos or documents. 

Worst case scenario if none of the above works, is that it's a defect and you need to replace.

Edit: Are you connecting the ipad to the system with the usb port? If so, out of what I read from the manual it's only for actual USB drives not just the usb cable attached to a device.I would suggest using Bluetooth instead.
