• It's really not necessary the sub woofer supplied with the system is more than sufficient

• You probably already made your decision, but I'll answer in case someone else is wondering: It has a subwoofer, you really don't need to add one. It's plenty loud enough for a house party, maybe not a backyard party, but a house...sure.
