Well since they will replace it within your first year if you do blow the speakers I would say go for it!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You always run the risk of blowing the speakers on any system with high output wattage. It's a long discussion, but the jist of it is this. The RMS output gets to high and it can fry the speakers coils over time, or very quickly if the wattage is super high for the ratings on the speakers. I would never run any system at more than 80% power (around position 36 readout on the unit) for any length of time electrically speaking. The speaker specs are on page 36 of the big manual and show a 3 ohm setup rated at 230 watts. LG cheats and says the unit has 700 watts, bu this wattage is the combine left and right wattage, the rated power is the real never to exceed number here. With 350 watts per channel the Max Input power should be less than the max input rating of 460 Watts per speaker, but the rated input power of 230 Watts, around 80% of max is really the safer number to prevent speaker damage. Download the manual here : http://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-CM4550#manuals and look on page 36 for the ratings in the big manual. Don't forget your sub woofer is rated a tad higher at 240Watts, but is doing a LOT more work energy wise. Hope all that helps, God Bless You.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That is possible simply because it does play very loud turned all of the way up.
