Hi i like you is concerned about burn in. The C1 is my first oled. I have not experienced any burn in at moment. It's still not entirely possible too not get it, but there are alot of safe guards there to help. I only purchased from best buy and brought the geek squad protection since it's one of the only protection plans that covers burn in. So now i have no worries atleast for next 5 years since i have the geek squad protection plan.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've had the TV for three weeks. Have had both long Game-play sessions (Call of Duty, Far Cry 6) and Sunday-afternoon long Football viewing (5-7 hours). Zero issues, and honestly, LG itself have input a little pixel jiggle to help with image retention. The C1 and latest LG's also have pixel cleaner function to help (thought that's a once or twice a year cleaning tool you don't want to use super often). Another thing that'll help: Total Tech....spend the $200/yr and the delivery & mounting (which is gonna cost you $200) is "free" and you get two years of coverage on the sucker.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Burn-in and image retention are possible on virtually any display. It is rare for an average TV consumer to create an environment that could result in burn-in. Most cases of burn-in in televisions is a result of static images or on-screen elements displaying on the screen uninterrupted for many hours or days at a time – with brightness typically at peak levels. So, it is possible to create image retention in almost any display if one really tries hard enough. And even if image retention does occur from extreme usage, it can usually be mitigated within a short period of time by turning the display off for a while, and watching a few hours of varying content (such as your standard TV watching and channel-surfing). OLED TVs have special features and settings to preserve image quality and prevent burn in and image retention. First, under OLED Screen Saver there is the Pixel Refresher that calibrates any issues that may arise on the screen when your TV has been turned on for a long time. ^Daphane
