Sizable Upgrade from 65”
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Upgraded from a LG CX OLED 65”. First 3 photos are the new C1, last photo is the 65” CX. The extra foot of screen is substantial. TLDR: Well worth the upgrade if your considering going from a LED 65” and have the space. Going from 65” OLED CX, less of a value but still worth it because size matters. After install and changing settings, first thing I did was play CoD: Vanguard multiplayer. Immediately, my eyes/head hurt from the size change. I played for about 30 minutes, and wasn’t really getting used to the size yet. I was thinking “oh no, it’s too big what did I do?” I couldn’t believe it, I finally reached the upper limit of TV size. So, I turned off CoD and watched some Prime for a bit. Headache subsided, but still some eye strain. I kept thinking about how massive this TV is. This was early afternoon. Later that evening, I jumped back into CoD again, zombies this time with friends. As soon as I started playing, two friends I had not heard of called me. One of them was completely into TVs and had just upgraded to a 75”. He said the strain goes away after day one, and soon you appreciate the size. The next day was exactly as my friend said - no more eye strain, brain adjusted. It’s just a big TV. And it’s perfect. I sit 11’ away from the TV; bottom of TV is 38” from ground. TV is also a bit higher than previous TV, roughly 7” difference from bottom. Mostly play video games.

Amazing picture quality, especially with 4K.
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This tv is amazing, I love the picture quality when its calibrated and setup properly. The 77" looks perfect in my family room paired with my 7.1.2 speaker setup for Atmos. This tv gets inky black, no greyish blacks or light bleed. This put my old 65" Panasonic plasma to shame. I got this on sale for a great price 2399.99 and had quit a bitof gift cards bringing this well under 2k for me. 4k HDR, SDR and Dolby Vision looks incredible whether your streaming Vudu movies or Netflix, or if I'm watching a UHD bluray disc. The picture looks beautiful. Im blown away by how much lighter this tv is compared to my old 65" plasma 132lbs for the plasma vs 59 lbs for this 77" OLED. I like the hdmi ARC works for relaying Atmos audio from streaming apps on the tv back to my Denon AVR. My only complaint is I didnt buy this back on Black Friday. I knew I was missing out but had to wait again for the prices to drop back down, thanks C2 models.... I definitely recommend this tv to anyone on the fence, it is well worth the price tag...

77 inches of awesomeness!
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Very happy with the new TV. I had a 55" CX before this, but moved to a bigger apartment that had room for a bigger screen. It was worth the upgrade for sure. Watching movies or playing games on this bigger 77" screen gives that immersive feeling now. The picture quality is stunning for all content. I prefer the designs on Sony and Samsnung OLEDs, but i went with LG because it has the upper hand for gaming performance. Software is mostly similar to previous models, but love the new upgraded features like the nvidia controls and a few other things i cant remember right now. Very premium tv and not a bad price, considering what the other quality OLED tvs are going for. Now i just need to find more time to use it xD

Very high expectations met!
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. As good as it shows in the store, it's even better at home! With very high expectations for OLED technology it doesn't disappoint! One issue however is the ARC compatibility; I haven't been able to get it to work with my pre-pro. It's a known issue with many due to no standardization protocol for ARC/eARC, but not a deal killer for me because I don't particularly like the apps on any of the smart TV offerings out there anyway. The workaround is to simply use the optical output although that won't allow for the latest in some surround sound formats. I use a blu-ray player & Apple TV for the most part to listen to those Codecs. Overall the picture quality is 'to die for'! The only improvement would be to get a larger size, but then the next size up was almost twice the price of admission!

Best picture I have ever seen !!
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I have never been so impressed with a TV and i have purchased many in my 60 years. I spent 2 months researching the LG and Sony Bravia and pulled the trigger on the LG and so glad i did. I have to say the picture in Vivid and standard are exceptional. Props to LG on the magic remote too. I have a brand new home with many windows and i can see this TV even on the brightest days. OLED is the way to go in bright rooms. The black detail is absolutely incredible and cant be matched.

Q: QuestionIs the 77” C1 actually worth an extra $500 over the 77” CX? Or am I better off buying the CX?
Asked by TufGong.
- A:Answer The first answer was incorrect. The CX has HDMI 2.1 on all 4 ports. The C1 is also capped at 40gbsp just like the CX. I've been doing lots of research myself and the improvements are minor. Slightly better shadow detail, slightly brighter and the C1 has the new game optimizer. From the advice I've read it absolutely would be a good deal to save the $500 and get the CX. However it's up to you which one you want to buy. I'm leaning towards the C1 myself since I'm a gamer.

Q: QuestionWhat is the size of the shipping box for the 77 inch OLed tv

Answered by LGAnswers
Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between C1 and CX?
Asked by Julian.
- A:Answer Not a whole lot...it's slightly brighter and provides a better image for gamers, and it has the new WebOS 6.0, but it's not a huge leap over the CX (which I didn't own...basically going off of comparisons I've seen). If money is tight, you'll be fine with last year's model, but if you want the latest and greatest, the price difference isn't THAT much more.
Answered by PghBoy
Q: QuestionLooking to purchase in a few months but I want to know more about the burn-in and/or image retention issue. For those who own the C1 (or even CX) have you experienced any? If I watch 5-6 continous hrs of news/sports per day, should I be concerned?
Asked by frmCrts.
- A:Answer Hi i like you is concerned about burn in. The C1 is my first oled. I have not experienced any burn in at moment. It's still not entirely possible too not get it, but there are alot of safe guards there to help. I only purchased from best buy and brought the geek squad protection since it's one of the only protection plans that covers burn in. So now i have no worries atleast for next 5 years since i have the geek squad protection plan.

Q: QuestionWhy is the 77" G1 weight 28 lbs heavier than the 77" C1? What accounts for all that extra weight?
Asked by Tom.
- A:Answer I cannot explain why the G1 77" is 28 pounds heavier than the C1 without the stand. I will have to escalate for more information. I will provide an update. Thank you. ^Daphane Updated answer: The C1's top half is extremely thin, compared to the bottom half which makes it light weight. The G1 has a uniform design to mount flush to the wall so the thickness is the same on top vs. the bottom half and also uses more metal material which adds to the weight. ^Daphane

Q: QuestionThe magic remote that comes with this C1 doesn't have the NFC logo at the bottom of the remote... I'm wondering if it can still connect to the TV via smartphones Android/Iphone with the NFC functionality?
Asked by Jake.
- A:Answer There are two different remotes, AN-MR21GA/ AN-MR21GC. Only AN- MR21GC has features NFC for quick pairing of your phone and your TV for wireless streaming. ^Daphane
