This is a great TV!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decided to upgrade a 55" TV and took advantage of an open box deal to save a few hundred bucks after shopping a couple of months for a new TV. I’ve heard from everyone OLED is the best out right now and after having the TV a while i have to agree. Picture is amazing! I really enjoy watching 4K movies and playing video games on it! It syncs to all my existing devices that makes it easy to control with thr provided remote. Sound is fine but i mostly use my 7.1 external speakers. Highly recommended.

Do yourself a favor and buy the C1!!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got the 77 C1. All I have to say is wow! There’s been talk about such a difference in brightness with the G1 and C1. I’m sure there’s a small difference but honestly the C1 is bright enough. Save yourself some $$ this TV is excellent for gaming, as currently I have the PS4 pro and awaiting Ps5 availability, and with HDMI 2.1 I can’t wait for the increased bandwidth, and next-gen gaming. Movies look spectacular too in 4K. The other thing that the C1 does that my old Sony 75 led didn’t do is recognize External HDMI devices and identify them, without having the need to label each device. The updated magic remote is awesome too! There’s nothing this TV doesn’t do wonderfully!

LG C1 77” I finally pulled the trigger!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m in love with this amazing TV. Replaced my 11 y/o 42” LCD regular 1080p HD, and this is my first OLED and oh boy!! I can now see the difference in picture quality!!. Movies and tv shows in 4K look stunning, perfect contrast/blacks. The gaming features are awesome, perfect for my PS5. The tv sound is pretty decent for a built-in sound, however, I’m getting a sound system starting with a soundbar really soon. Brightness is also excellent for an OLED, my living room has 2 big windows(I read about a lot of issues OLEDS have in regards to brightness) and I don’t have any problem watching content during the day. If you are like me and enjoy watching movies, tv shows, and also you’re a gamer with a next gen console, don’t hesitate and buy it! You won’t regret it!! Very happy with my purchase!.

Sizable Upgrade from 65”
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a LG CX OLED 65”. First 3 photos are the new C1, last photo is the 65” CX. The extra foot of screen is substantial. TLDR: Well worth the upgrade if your considering going from a LED 65” and have the space. Going from 65” OLED CX, less of a value but still worth it because size matters. After install and changing settings, first thing I did was play CoD: Vanguard multiplayer. Immediately, my eyes/head hurt from the size change. I played for about 30 minutes, and wasn’t really getting used to the size yet. I was thinking “oh no, it’s too big what did I do?” I couldn’t believe it, I finally reached the upper limit of TV size. So, I turned off CoD and watched some Prime for a bit. Headache subsided, but still some eye strain. I kept thinking about how massive this TV is. This was early afternoon. Later that evening, I jumped back into CoD again, zombies this time with friends. As soon as I started playing, two friends I had not heard of called me. One of them was completely into TVs and had just upgraded to a 75”. He said the strain goes away after day one, and soon you appreciate the size. The next day was exactly as my friend said - no more eye strain, brain adjusted. It’s just a big TV. And it’s perfect. I sit 11’ away from the TV; bottom of TV is 38” from ground. TV is also a bit higher than previous TV, roughly 7” difference from bottom. Mostly play video games.

Get it Now, Thank yourself for life.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was eyeing a bigger OLED TV to replace my Sony LED and I settled on this C1 77” TV as Best Buy did price match as they promised on their site. I was jumping with joy here cos I own a 65” A1 LG OLED and I know how this tv pleases your eyes with all the bright colors and deeper darks. Got great deal and thank bestbuy customer service chat person on this purchase. Fits perfectly in my living room and I’m enjoying the HT experience at home combined with 5 .1ch in ceiling speakers. What more can you ask for. Wish bestbuy could get me another one at the price point I bought this.

Fantastic
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially had purchased a Samsung QN90A and the picture was fantastic however it had some DSE (dirty screen effect) on top of their aggressive tone mapping which would wash out color if it is overlaid on top of darker content. I returned that set. I then went with a Sony X95J and it was fantastic for the first few days until I noticed some serious grid issues with brighter content being watched. I returned that one as well. The whole process I had wanted to go with the LG C1 and honestly was scared of burn in and concerned it wasn't going to be bright enough for my living room which does have some natural light coming in during the day, so I went with the other two sets first and countless hours of research and trial and error later have found the one. This set is just beyond fantastic, its plenty bright and the way it handles color is superior to how the other 2 sets did (the Samsung was close if it wasn't washing out the color). I used Youtube for initial set up and made some small adjustments to match my liking. I have put it through its paces looking for issues with software or DSE but have found nothing. This was my first choice; I should have just gone with it the first time but glad I have it now. That glare you see is as bad as it gets for me, and the iPhone picked up the light a bit more than what I am seeing.

Amazing tv, banding issue fixed itself, see review
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv is awesome!!!! Just a word of caution, mine had some apparent banding that i could see sometimes even when watching movies/shows when it was a grayish/darker scenes or background. It drove me crazy and i was bout to return it, but then i researched online how oleds usually have banding issues and alot of times clears itself up after you watch it many hours. So I put 2 days 4+hrs each day 9 hours total(every 4hours of watch time the tv automatically does 1hr pixel refreshes to itself per day while turned off) of watch time on it and woke up the next day and turned it on and the banding strip that drove me crazy was completely GONE!! The tv fixed itself. I used echo tv stand feet so i could use a soundbar and it matches the tv perfectly! The picture is amazing and bright enough for my living room, i actually had to turn the brightness down. I tried the CX first but had some minor black crush and some software issues. This C1 improved and doesn't have any of the issues i had with the Cx and seems even brighter to me and handles motion better. Definitely worth the extra money over the Cx too me. But both are fantastic tvs.

Excellent for gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv as it was one of the highest rated TV’s for gaming. It absolutely does not disappoint in this regard. I tried the Sony X90J and ran into issues with playing PC games in 4K/HDR/120hz/ATMOS(I had sound going silent every 15 minutes and flashing black screen periodically). But the LG I have had no issues with playing with those same settings, plus this TV plays nicer with my Samsung sound bar as well. But boy oh boy does this tv look great. The OLED really shines in its quality. Space never looked so great in the outer wolds! And lastly, all the HDMI ports being 2.1 is great. Other brands have 1 or 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, which really limits how many devices you can get the full 4K/120/HDR from. Now I don’t even have to think about it. It’s worth the investment!

Q: QuestionIs the 77” C1 actually worth an extra $500 over the 77” CX? Or am I better off buying the CX?
Asked by TufGong.
- A:Answer The first answer was incorrect. The CX has HDMI 2.1 on all 4 ports. The C1 is also capped at 40gbsp just like the CX. I've been doing lots of research myself and the improvements are minor. Slightly better shadow detail, slightly brighter and the C1 has the new game optimizer. From the advice I've read it absolutely would be a good deal to save the $500 and get the CX. However it's up to you which one you want to buy. I'm leaning towards the C1 myself since I'm a gamer.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between C1 and CX?
Asked by Julian.
- A:Answer Not a whole lot...it's slightly brighter and provides a better image for gamers, and it has the new WebOS 6.0, but it's not a huge leap over the CX (which I didn't own...basically going off of comparisons I've seen). If money is tight, you'll be fine with last year's model, but if you want the latest and greatest, the price difference isn't THAT much more.

Q: QuestionLooking to purchase in a few months but I want to know more about the burn-in and/or image retention issue. For those who own the C1 (or even CX) have you experienced any? If I watch 5-6 continous hrs of news/sports per day, should I be concerned?
Asked by frmCrts.
- A:Answer Hi i like you is concerned about burn in. The C1 is my first oled. I have not experienced any burn in at moment. It's still not entirely possible too not get it, but there are alot of safe guards there to help. I only purchased from best buy and brought the geek squad protection since it's one of the only protection plans that covers burn in. So now i have no worries atleast for next 5 years since i have the geek squad protection plan.

Q: QuestionWhy is the 77" G1 weight 28 lbs heavier than the 77" C1? What accounts for all that extra weight?
Asked by Tom.
- A:Answer I cannot explain why the G1 77" is 28 pounds heavier than the C1 without the stand. I will have to escalate for more information. I will provide an update. Thank you. ^Daphane Updated answer: The C1's top half is extremely thin, compared to the bottom half which makes it light weight. The G1 has a uniform design to mount flush to the wall so the thickness is the same on top vs. the bottom half and also uses more metal material which adds to the weight. ^Daphane
