Q: Questiondoes this tv have hdmi 2.1 for the ps5?
Asked by Chris.
- A:Answer So the short answer is yes. The longer more precise answer is that ports 3 and 4 are HDMI 2.1, but they run at 40mbps instead of the full 48mbps. What this likely means, is that these HDMI 2.1 ports will do everything any other HDMI 2.1 ports will do, except likely display 12-bit color. I'll let you google the difference between 10-bit color and 12-bit color and you'll see why LG made this choice, the difference isn't that noticeable to me. I had the choice between this TV and the Sony, since they both have HDMI 2.1 ports, but since LG can deliver an 82" 4K TV with 120 fps, HDR, and via a future firmware update they said they'll be adding Freesync support, I couldn't pass it up for the price.
