Wi-Fi devices constantly emit radio frequency signals to maintain a connection with the network, even when not actively transmitting data, so your router is constantly emitting radio frequencies to the LG 8,500 BTU High-Efficiency Dual Inverter Window Air Conditioner with Wi-Fi and LCD Remote, 115V - White, Model # LW8024IVSM. The air conditioner may still receive Wi-Fi signals even when not in use. To turn the Wi-Fi off on the air conditioner, look for the Wi-Fi button on the control panel or in the app. Press the button or navigate to the settings and select the option to turn off Wi-Fi. This will disconnect the air conditioner from the Wi-Fi network...^Ivan.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Im not sure why it matters, but the unit does not broadcast a wifi signal. if i recall the setup process correctly, it uses bluetooth (activated via a specific button-press sequence) to connect to your phones LG app, and then the app assigns and calibrates the units receiving antennae to your homes wifi signal.
