QuestionI purchased after I had purchased a comparable Samsung soundbar that sounded horrible. We hooked this one up to my Samsung 4k 75" tv. it sounds better than the Samsung but not much. no bass what so ever. We hooked it up using the optical cable supplied.

- Answer I had the same problem and I was also using an optical cable. Switched to using an hdmi cable. BIG difference! Try it. You’ll like it.

QuestionIt says 4K Pass-through. Does it support Dolby Vision Pass-through or only HDR?

- Answer I have had zero issues sending a Dolby Vision signal from my Oppo 4K player through the soundbar. Our LG 4k TV initially displays "Dolby Vision" in the upper right corner so it's definitely receiving the signal through the soundbar.

- Answer Yes, it is located on the front right center of the bar, when you increase or decrease the volume it displays the volume while you are changing it for about 4 seconds.

- Answer On the remote press the button that has an icon that looks like a tiny EQ. As you press it you'll see the readout change. Once you see "BASS" use the top left arrow toggle to go up or down.

- Answer The 4K Pass-Through on the LG SL8YG 3.1.2 Channel 440W Sound Bar w/ Meridian Technology & Dolby Atmos is a feature that allows a 4K video signal to pass unaffected through the Soundbar to a 4K TV without any processing. For example, all 4K content from a 4K source or an upscaling 4K Blu-ray player must be passed directly to the 4K TV. In order to transfer a 4K signal. In order to transfer a 4K signal at 60 fps, the HDMI ports must be HDMI 2.0 ports and they must be HDCP 2.2 compliant. If the TV is not a 4K TV, you will not get a 4K signal...^IFV

- Answer Yes, this soundbar comes with an LG remote to control it however other remotes (i.e. A comcast remote) can link to it as well to control the volume.
