    • Answer You can turn off the craft ice maker, however, according to the manual, each ice bin is specifically designed for each type of ice, and you will not be able to produce mini ice in both bins. However, you can turn the craft ice maker off and then just dump the mini ice bin into the craft ice bin for extra storage.

  • QuestionWill the water line ever freeze up? I have a ge Cafe that freezes and I know of other models with the same issue. Has LG done anything to prevent this from happening?

    • Answer My old GE would freeze up too! I have this new LG with literally 4 ice makers in it, and it has not frozen up at all. It's working perfectly... also WAY QUIETER than the GE Cafe I had. Now my GE Cafe was 11 years old... but it should not have been freezing up. Made me crazy.

    • Answer Hi, Lenka. Thank you for reaching out. Changing the water filter in your LG Refrigerator (LRYKC2606S) model is a simple process. Here are the steps to help you with the process: The water filter is typically located inside the refrigerator, towards the upper right corner of the fresh food section. It may be behind a cover or door. For a push-to-release filter, gently push the filter inward to release it, then pull it out. For a twist-in filter, turn the filter counterclockwise until it detaches from the compartment. Unbox your new filter and remove any protective covers or plastic wrap. It’s important to use a filter that is compatible with your specific model to ensure proper fit and functionality. For push-to-release filters, insert the new filter into the slot and push it in until it clicks into place. For twist-in filters, align the filter with the compartment and twist it clockwise until it’s securely in place. After replacing the filter, run water through the dispenser for about 3 minutes to clear out any air and carbon fines from the new filter. If your refrigerator has a filter replacement indicator, you can reset it by pressing and holding the "Filter" button (if available) for a few seconds. If there’s no reset button, the indicator should reset automatically after a few days of use.
