• The unit can run continuously unless in Energy Saver Mode. In this mode the compressor and fan turn off when the set temperature is achieved. Approximately every 3 minutes the fan turns on to allow the unit sensor to accurately determine if more cooling is needed. The LED lights turns on to clean the filter after 250 hours of operation. ^Daphane

• You can run it as long as you want if you dont mind a high electric bill. It has a timer and energy saver mode that will turn the unit off once it hits the set temperature
