QuestionWill these phone works on Tracfone ?

- Answer I called tracfone and they said yes you could switch to tracfone form simple mobile since they are a division of tracfone. You just have to tell the tracfone people this before you activate the phone. Also even though it will now be a tracfone, you wil be using simple mobile cell towers. I checked the coverage for the cell phone carriers and the coverage was mostly equal.

- Answer (1) Is headphone symbol on because you have headphones connected? (2) Check volume icon to check if sound has been erroneously muted. If neither of the above are the problem, suggest rebooting phone by turning it off for a minute and then turning it back on.

- Answer This is a Simple Mobile phone and while it's GSM it comes with a T-MOBILE sim and likely the network settings are for T-MOBILE. To use it with AT&T it might have to be unlocked but the rules may state it has to have been activated for a year to qualify to be unlocked. The network settings would have to be reset to AT&T.

- Answer Absolutely. I ordered this exact phone for that purpose - no talk or text - just as a wifi accessible phone and it works great. Very cheap solution if you have multiple accounts and the phone is actually better than my Galaxy Note phone. For the price you will not find any better phone.

Straight talk shares or rents cell towers.. I am on verizon towers.. its easy to figure out for me.. APN is a setting in the phone thats is pre programed with verizon.. oh yeah ... Straight Talk is a type of carrier known as an MVNO (mobile virtual network operator), which means that it doesn't run or own a wireless network. Instead, it purchases the right to use towers from AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint.

- Answer I actually did this because I had to return my phone. It turns out once my old phone was refurbished they also refurbished my number not knowing that I had kept the old card and put it in my new phone. So even though it technically worked you are supposed to use the new SIM card and then just have simple mobile switch your number once you register your new phone. Hope this helps.
