  • QuestionThe microwave makes a sound when cooking. Every time that the item I'm microwaving hits a certain point in the rotation (i.e., is coming up near the front of the microwave) it makes this low sound. I've tried shifting the turntable but no use. Please help

Regrettably, without a description of the sound or hearing the sound, we cannot determine if this is a normal operational sound or something that you should be concerned about. A whooshing sound is usually from the fan that blows across the magnetron to keep it cool and microwave ovens typically produce a hum.   • QuestionHow do I set the cook time to a time the is NOT a multiple of 10 seconds? Example: What if I want to set it for 25 seconds. I can only seem to set it to 20 or 30 seconds, not 25. Help!

    • Answer The only option (for your example) is to set the timer to 30 seconds, hit START and then press STOP/Clear when the timer gets to 5 seconds.
